Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Chicago Marketing.
Sales Associate
It kicked off with a quick phone chat, then they brought me in for a proper interview. It was supposed to be 30 minutes but ran over to about 48 minutes. I got invited back for a second interview, and then they made me an offer. It was a pretty standard process overall, though they were a little vague about what the job actually entailed.
- Tell me about your biggest weakness.
- How would you handle a customer who is not interested in the product?
Retail Sales Associate
I first applied in person with one of the managers. They called me to set up an appointment for the following week and also sent a text so I could book online, which was neat. Then I met with the manager face-to-face for about 40 minutes in their office.
- Could you tell me about your reasons for seeking a career change?
- Are you someone who considers themselves solution-oriented?
Sales Associate
The interviewing process was generally easy and understandable. They contacted me through career builder and said that they were interested in my resume mostly because of previous sales experience I have had. The first interview was easy it was basic questions and they invited me for a second interview. The second interview they tell you more about their business and you actually get to shadow a sales person. You will know by the end o the second day if this is a job for you and im glad they let me shadow someone before i made my decision.
- What makes you different from other candidates?
