So I applied and then got an email to set up a phone interview. The phone interview and then the first in-person was with people who would be my coworkers. The last interview was in-person with the facilities manager.

This whole process felt unnecessary. They didn't give much info or communicate well. It was pretty easy, but definitely not an effective way to apply or interview. That SparkHire part was a total waste of time.

If they're interested in you, you'll do this one-way online interview where you record your answers in a set amount of time. If you pass that, you'll interview with someone from the sales team. If you pass that, the hiring manager will interview you with a board of people.

You begin with an online one-way video interview, answering five questions within three minutes each, with no prep time. If you advance, you'll have a 30-minute interview with someone from the department, whose specific role wasn't clarified. Notably, HR mentioned this interviewer hasn't seen your video and is interviewing many candidates blindly, not having time to review your portfolio website due to the volume of applicants and samples. It's recommended to use this interview to showcase your best work via screen sharing, as the interviewer is likely not reviewing external links due to their schedule. Another person reviews the one-way videos for selection to this second round, meaning the interviewer may know little to nothing about you beforehand. They appeared more interested in your technical camera knowledge (like workflow samples, custom LUTs) than your actual work or storytelling skills. It's suggested to only apply if you have a similar title at another baseball team, as they seem to prefer candidates who don't bring unconventional ideas.
