HR reached out to schedule an initial onsite interview. This was a 1-hour panel interview focusing on my past work. A few days later, HR contacted me for a second interview, which was a panel with many employees and managers, and included some technical questions. The experience was positive and everyone was professional and friendly. I didn't get feedback for two weeks, and only after I contacted the hiring manager. It would be great if companies could notify candidates sooner about offer denials.

The initial interview didn't go as planned because of a scheduling mix-up between HR on the west coast and the mid-west location, so no one was there when I arrived and it had to be rescheduled. About 4 weeks later, I had a 30-minute phone screening that was a bit technical. The person who screened me was going to be a senior coworker, and they were really friendly, making the screening feel pretty casual. After it was done, they were straightforward and helpful. The next interview was supposed to be with the screener and their project manager, but it turned into a video call with them and four other people from the west coast, which was a surprise but cool to talk to people with different specialties. This interview lasted about an hour and included typical Q&A and a deep dive into my resume.

I submitted my resume at our university's career fair and also applied through the on-campus recruiting website. About three weeks later, I was contacted to set up a 45-minute interview. The interview felt very friendly and laid-back, and I appreciated that the person interviewing me was actually in the IT department. It was mostly questions about my past behavior.
