Chervon Group Interview Questions
& Process

The entire interview process for the Associate Product Manager role had two main parts. First, there was a phone screen with HR. Second, there were two in-person group interviews. The first group interview was with the hiring manager and a product manager. The second group interview involved the VP of Product/Engineering and the head of Accessories. Even after a bunch of follow-ups, it took about 6 weeks to finally get an offer, which was quite a while. Some scheduling issues popped up because of COVID.

I was initially contacted by a recruiter earlier this year, but wasn't interested then. A few months later, things changed for me, so I reached out to her about available roles. We set up an interview, and I ended up speaking with her and someone named Mark for over an hour on the phone. They mentioned they were still interviewing and would let me know about their decision soon. Since I hadn't heard back after a couple of weeks, I sent two follow-up emails. I also tried reaching out on LinkedIn, where she first contacted me, but never got a response. I just wish they'd had the courtesy to reply to my emails, even if it was just to say I didn't get the job. It felt very unprofessional.

The whole thing went pretty fast. I applied for the Graphic Designer job and heard back from HR for a quick chat in about two weeks. Then, just under a week later, I talked to the Creative Director. During that first chat, they let me know the job posting had changed because the company just updated its WFH policy. This was a bummer because the commute would be tough, but I was still really keen because the chat with the Creative Director was awesome. We just clicked, and I really wanted to work for her, plus the job was a great match. About a week after that second chat, I found out I didn't get the job because I was missing experience in one specific area. Even though I thought the interview was 'Average' difficulty, it felt pretty easy to me because the Creative Director and I got along so well, making it super conversational.

I applied online through my school's handshake. The initial interaction was good and friendly. I discussed my current project involving OS-Linux and its working tools, which seemed to be relevant. They also asked about my willingness to travel and relocate during the internship.
