I went through five interviews with different people I would work with, like the creative director and project managers. Everyone was nice and easy to chat with. It started with the hiring manager telling me about the job and the role. There was a live technical part over video where I had to figure out a problem and explain my solution right away. This part felt a bit awkward because of the pressure and some tech problems I had. I think they should change this part because it didn't really show what I could do. I really liked the job and thought it was a good fit. But, the offer they gave me was less than I expected based on what I told them earlier. The hiring manager said there was room for negotiation if my ask wasn't too much. When the offer came, it was only $3K more than their first offer. I asked for $4K more, which I thought was fair, but they wouldn't budge, saying their benefits made up for it. It was a bummer because I thought we could negotiate, but it turned out there wasn't much room. It’s a shame, especially for a company that size, that they couldn't sort out such a small amount. I was really keen to join and felt the role was perfect for my skills and plans. I was talking to another company too and got a much better salary offer from them, even though I preferred Chernoff. But Chernoff wouldn't go up the extra $4K. So, I turned down Chernoff and took the other offer that showed they valued my skills more with a salary I was happy with. Too bad.

It was pretty chill. They seemed to like that I mentioned a campaign of theirs I admired in my cover letter. They mainly asked me to talk about my past internship experiences. I also discussed a class project in detail, and they appreciated the insights I shared.

It was easy. The first interview had about 10 questions, mostly general stuff about teamwork and experience. They were more focused on personality and work ethic since they don't expect much experience from interns. You should prepare answers, but the questions aren't hard. They asked about strengths, weaknesses, accomplishments, and classwork.

The interview was really casual, and they asked for a bit more information about my resume. It was pretty fast and simple for an in-person interview. I got the feeling they had already made up their mind about me before I even showed up.
