It was a two-step interview process. First, a general interview, and then I met with my potential direct supervisor. The experience was very positive overall. The questions felt relevant to both my past work and my general outlook and work ethic.

The interview process involved an initial phone screen with a recruiter. Following that, there was a virtual interview with two individuals who, while not direct employees, were associated with the company. Both interviews seemed to go well. I was informed that my interviews would be passed to the department manager, who would be the final interviewer. I was also told to reach out if I didn't hear back by the end of the following week. Unfortunately, I received no communication, even after following up. It was quite disappointing.

So after the recruiter call, there were two interviews. The first one was with the director I'd be reporting to. They were pretty chatty and seemed genuinely interested. The second interview had two other people from the same department. They didn't seem that into filling the role, super disengaged, like they were just going through the motions with their questions. Honestly, they need better interview skills or different people for this. Also, please don't look at a resume for the first time during the interview itself. It's been weeks and I've been ghosted by everyone. Seriously, train your interviewers or hire people who can make this process smoother. I wouldn't want to work for a company that handles things like this.

The interview process was pretty standard, no major surprises. It mostly involved typical questions about my background and experience. What I didn't like was being kept in the dark during the process. Having to constantly chase for updates because of poor communication is just not acceptable, and frankly, it says a lot about the company. It shouldn't take over two months to decide if you want to hire someone. You guys should really try to do better, but I have a feeling things will just stay the same. It's a complete and total shame.
