The first interview was a phone screen, and it didn't go too well. The recruiter I was speaking with had a really bad phone connection, with a lot of static and background noise, making it tough to understand what they were saying. I had to ask them to repeat their questions a few times, which seemed to bother them, putting me in an uncomfortable spot.

Got contacted by a recruiter on a networking site and had an initial chat. After that, the technical screen and assessment rounds moved quickly. The onsite interview let me meet the broader team, including a mix of technical and leadership folks on the panel. They asked some really insightful questions and were happy to answer mine. The offer was great, but unfortunately, remote work across different countries had some hurdles, so I had to pass.

It was a good experience and they got back to me fast. The interview was done over video. The person interviewing me knew the job and was well-prepared. They asked fair and specific questions. It was general management stuff, focused on relocation and how to set up a new warehouse. They really wanted to know about data analytics and if I could work in cold storage. Seems like a good place to work with chances to grow my career.

We started with a recruiter call, then had a Zoom interview with a 2-person panel from the hiring team. After that, there was an on-site visit to see how operations were handled. Interestingly, during the interview, only one person asked questions, the other was checked out and fidgeting the whole time. Because of that, I realized this wasn't a place I wanted to work. This is a new role, and the company doesn't have a clear plan for it yet; they need someone to figure out the responsibilities for their B2C model. I hope the managers get involved on the ground level to see how operations and procedures can be scaled.
