When I was trying to schedule the interview, I let them know my preferred days were Monday through Wednesday. The recruiter then asked if I could come in the next day, which was a Friday. I agreed, telling my boss I had to run errands. The recruiter mentioned I'd be meeting with three people. I showed up 20 minutes early and spoke with two managers. While waiting for the third person in the conference room, the recruiter informed me that the third person had to leave unexpectedly due to other commitments and that they would follow up with a phone interview. This follow-up never happened. I found it really disrespectful that I took time off work for this interview and they couldn't complete the process. On the other hand, it might have been good because it showed me how disorganized they are and how they might treat employees.

I applied online and an HR person got in touch within a few days. She scheduled a phone interview for the next day. When the time came, I was waiting for the call, but after 30 minutes, I hadn't received it. I sent a follow-up email, and she replied that she was in a meeting and asked to reschedule for two hours later. It was a bit annoying, especially seeing a similar review from another candidate, but okay. After passing the first phone interview, I was invited for an in-person meeting with several team members. It was a long day; I spent 3.5 hours at their office. I was in a conference room, and each staffer came in one by one and asked pretty much the same questions. The third person took about 45 minutes, and I just waited. I'm not totally against this style, maybe because the job is unpredictable and high-pressure, but a heads-up about a nearly 4-hour process would have been nice. Thankfully, I had no other plans. Despite the length, the interview went well, and I felt confident. A few days later, I got an email saying I wasn't selected because they decided to 'take the role in a different direction'. My main takeaway is that this company doesn't seem to value people's personal time.

The interview started with a 30-minute phone screen with an operations manager. After that, I had two in-person interviews at Cheddar's offices. Unfortunately, the process then turned negative. I didn't hear back for about two weeks after the in-person interviews and then got a generic rejection email. Honestly, this kind of experience really sticks with you as a candidate.

I was contacted by Cheddar regarding a role, and I submitted my resume. The subsequent interviews with the team members were very positive. They were transparent and helpful throughout the process. I was given a tour of the facility, and the overall experience was very pleasant.
