Product Manager
Started with a phone call with an external recruiter, then a panel interview with HR and the technical TA team. They asked standard questions for about 30 minutes, focusing on asking for examples of my skills, and HR asked about personality traits that fit the company. They mentioned wanting to move fast but then I was ghosted until I contacted the third-party recruiter. No feedback or updates were given, which was unprofessional and disappointing. A red flag for me was that the job description said you need "your own work setup," implying you have to bring your own laptop, which raises security concerns. It was frustrating to be ghosted after discussing next steps.
- How do you make technical decisions when you're not an engineer?
Senior Software Engineer
I was found on Upwork and they reached out to me. The process began with an HR interview, followed by three technical interviews, and then a final interview with the CEO. I did well in all the technical interviews and the CEO round. The technical questions were good and really tested my programming and technology knowledge. The CEO, Vishal, was very nice and explained the role expectations clearly. I enjoyed talking with him. The main issues were with HR and management. They initially gave a salary range and I asked for something within it. However, they later pressured me to accept a lower salary, even though they admitted I did better than expected. This was disappointing. I was okay with working night shifts and did interviews late at night several times. After discussing salary, they said they'd follow up but never did, making it feel like a waste of time. They initially attracted me with a good salary promise, then showed what they could actually pay. They also made me wait too long, treating me like a backup. It's been about 3 weeks since our last conversation, and still no final answer. When I followed up, they said they were considering other candidates and would decide in a week, but I haven't heard back.
- Can you discuss your past projects, the challenges you faced, and your solutions?
- Describe previous projects, including problems encountered and how you resolved them.
Operations Specialist
So I went through the interview process at Itsacheckmate. The application was easy and the job descriptions were clear. They got back to me fast and scheduling was easy too. They were really professional the whole time, from the first contact to the feedback. Communication was always clear, which made me feel good and I knew what was happening. The interviews were well-planned out. I talked to different people, which gave me a good feel for the company and what they expect. The interviewers were nice and skilled, which made it relaxed. They had a tough but fair way of evaluating candidates. The questions and tasks they gave me really fit the job and let me show what I can do. They seem to really care about skills and potential. What I really liked was the feedback after each stage. It was helpful for me to grow. They were open about everything, which made me trust them.

Customer Support Operations Manager
After applying, a Team Lead reached out to me. I then completed an assessment, and subsequently, three interviews were scheduled. The first was with the Director of Customer Support, followed by a meeting with the Senior Training Head, and the final interview was with the CEO. The entire process was smooth, and everyone I interacted with was pleasant. They seemed interested in my past work, had productive conversations, and genuinely seemed to value my experience. They listened well, wanting to know about my career accomplishments. The CEO specifically delved into what I expected from this position. The company is very upfront about things, which was clear from the start. They said they'd get back to me soon and they did, within the timeframe they mentioned. Once they decided on me, they moved quickly to extend an offer. It was a really good experience overall.
