First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Chateau Retirement Communities.
Concierge
It was an open interview, so anyone who showed up got an interview. There were 12 of us, and it took hours because everyone had to do a skills test that lasted about 20 minutes using VB, mainly testing creativity and Publisher, although I'm not sure why since there were more complex software available.
- Can you manage to do 10 things at once?
- Would you mind if someone asked you the same question repeatedly?
Company Manager
I applied and after 2 interviews, I was offered the job. The first interview was over the phone, and the last one was in person at the property. The questions were focused on my ability to lead the community effectively and handle situations where residents might struggle with rent payments.
- What improvements can you bring to our communities?
Administrator
It was a walk-in interview initially. Then I got called back and they hired me a week later. I signed the acceptance offer four weeks after the initial interview offer. However, I didn't hear from them at all until I called them three weeks later to see if I was still going to be hired. The whole experience was typical.
- Since our company is very proud of promoting from within, where do you envision yourself in five years?
