First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Chassis Brakes International.
Graduate Apprentice
The interview process had three rounds. First was an HR round where they asked about my background, family details, personal information, and why I wanted to join this company. Second was a technical panel interview covering topics related to the specific department I applied for. The third round was with the Head of the Department, which included both technical and HR questions, with many questions repeating from the earlier rounds.
- What are your academic qualifications and what do you know about the company's products and manufacturing processes?
- Can you explain about CNC machines, different manufacturing processes, their distinctions, and CNC programming?
Design Engineer
So the interview process started with a CAD model test where I had to make a 3D model from a 2D drawing of their component within a time limit. After the CAD test, there was a technical interview, and then finally an HR round.
- For the CAD test, I was given a component's 2D drawing and had to create its 3D model within the given time constraints.
- In the technical interview, I was asked about engineering fundamentals related to mechanics.
- I was also asked about engineering fundamentals concerning strength of material.
Network Manager
The interview process involved a phone call followed by a face-to-face meeting, which was quick and efficient. It covered both management and technical aspects. I first presented my experience over the phone, and then in the in-person interview. Interestingly, I got the offer even though I didn't have all the required skills at the time.
- Can you tell me about your networking experience?
- What's your background in project management?
Production Supervisor
I got referred by a staff member and the whole thing took me a day. It started with HR, then a technical round. The technical part covered mechanical engineering topics and my previous work.
- Can you describe manufacturing processes?
- Could you explain CI engines?
- And SI engines?
