First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Chartway Federal Credit Union.
Business Analyst
So we had 3 rounds. First was an HR reach out, then a hiring manager interview, and finally a case study. The case study was with the hiring manager and the director. It involved describing charts, figuring out insights and trends from them, and presenting the results. There was also an SQL test.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in working with us?
- Could you explain what the provided charts depict?
- What key takeaways or insights can be derived from analyzing these charts?
Member Service Specialist
First I had a quick phone chat with the hiring manager, and she set up an in-person interview for the next week. Then I had another in-person interview the week after that was supposed to be with the regional manager and two branch managers, but the branch managers couldn't make it. So they had me come in for a fourth interview to meet two branch managers. But only one of them could make it. I thought each interview went great, but they ended up not offering me the job. It felt like a total waste of my time. I rearranged my schedule for these managers for over a month.
- What's your approach for dealing with an angry customer?
Human Resources Recruiter
Started with an initial chat with the HR recruiter, then I met with a group of about 5 folks from different parts of the company. After that, I had a meeting with the HR manager. The whole thing took around 3 hours. A background check is part of it, so it's super important to be upfront about your history. Being open about your record doesn't automatically mean you won't get hired, but hiding it definitely will.
- Can you share a bit about yourself?
Manager
The process starts with an online application, followed by a personality/IQ test. If successful, HR will reach out with further instructions. The interview process consists of three main stages: submitting video responses to questions, meeting with the Branch Manager, and a final in-person or Skype interview with a Director and HR. Additionally, there's an online banking simulator to complete.
- Describe a time you dealt with an upset customer. What steps did you take, and what was the outcome?
