First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Charter Media Advertising.
Marketing Strategist
It was a behavioral style interview, which was quite nerve-wracking! Every question began with, "tell me about a time when..." or "describe a time when you..." Coming up with real life examples of your work on the fly is very difficult, and I left thinking of all the other experiences that came to mind afterwards. I was interviewed by 2 people. The first was the person who would be managing me directly, and the second was a peer who was already in the position I was applying for, but working in a different office.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to handle an angry or unsatisfied customer? What steps did you take, and what was the final result?
Photo Ad Developer
The interview process was very direct and to the point. First, they reviewed my portfolio and asked questions about my past designs. Then, I had a second interview where I met more team members and they asked standard interview questions.
- Can you tell me about your graphic design experience and background?
- Can you describe your previous designs?
- What is your background in graphic design?
Client Services Coordinator
It was a standard interview with two people. They really made me feel at ease, and it felt more like a chat than a formal interview. From start to finish, I didn't feel any pressure at all. We even had some laughs during the whole thing.
- Can you share an instance where you had to bend company policies slightly to meet a client's needs?
Account Executive
The hiring process was crazy, I had two in-person interviews and 4 telephone interviews with various members of the management team.
- What would you do to retain a customer who expressed dissatisfaction and a desire to leave the company?
