First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Charter Fitness.
Fitness Coach
After I got my personal training license, I interviewed with the general manager. He walked me through the whole process, talking about salary and what was expected. It was a pretty easy and clear experience. He was professional, but also friendly and helpful, explaining everything I needed to know and answering all my questions.
- Could you tell me about your goals?
- What's your approach to working here?
- What do you expect from working at this location?
Member Experience Representative
I applied through Indeed and got a call the next day for an interview. I had my first interview yesterday. The manager really liked me, mostly because he graduated from the university that I go to. It turned into more of a conversation towards the end. I have another interview with another manager tomorrow but I was already told to "expect good things" from that interview so I pretty much have the job.
- Why are you here?
Sales Manager
After applying at my local club, I got a call for an interview. They liked that I had previous experience in the fitness industry and could tell I was knowledgeable about the job. They asked about the type of duties I had in the last job and asked me how I would respond to real life situations. After my second interview, I was hired on as a part-time associate and eventually worked my way into the assistant sales position.
- How would you define your own success?
- Tell me about your responsibilities in your previous role.
- Describe how you would handle real-life scenarios.
Manager
It was a fast and easy interview. They asked simple questions about how I would deal with different scenarios and even had me role play selling something. They also asked why I was interested in the company and if I was okay with working independently.
- How did you manage a situation with an unhappy customer?
- How would you deal with specific situations?
- Describe your approach to selling a product.
