First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Charlie Health.
Product Manager
The interview process kicked off with a call from the recruiter. After that, I took a Raven’s Assessment, and then had an interview with the hiring manager. The recruiter sent over some prep questions beforehand, but the hiring manager didn’t end up asking any of them. The interview itself was super short, only 10 minutes. Even though his title is Head of Product and Technology, he didn't have any background in those areas. I got rejected after this interview, but honestly, I wasn’t going to move forward anyway because the hiring manager seemed to lack experience.
- Can you tell me about a project you worked on recently?
Product Manager
The interview started with an HR call, then a call with the Hiring Manager. Then, a case study was assigned, followed by a presentation to a panel including Engineering leadership, UX design, and Product. I was told I'd hear back in a week, but the HR coordinator became unresponsive. It felt disrespectful after dedicating so much time to the interviews and case study prep. I felt like I dodged a bullet though, as the interviewers seemed burnt out and the company had high turnover.
- What's your process for prioritizing features?
Product Manager
Had a call with Recruiter DC, it was a general recruiting call. Then there was a Raven's assessment, which is one of those pattern matching assessments. After that, I had a call with the VP where I did a Case Study. The recruiter was good and knew their stuff, setting things up quickly and being realistic. The assessment felt like a waste of time, not sure what it's for. The VP interview seemed to go well, but I was rejected shortly after. It's strange that the VP has no product experience yet is in charge of product. The recruiter gave fair and appreciated feedback on why I wasn't moved forward. The company seems good, but the product side appears disorganized.
