I was contacted via email by the president of a new restaurant concept similar to Chipotle that Charley's was attempting to open. I set up a one-on-one interview at the corporate office, which is in town. I met with the president and had a great interview; we even had a few moments of personal similarity that made me feel a personal connection with the hiring manager/president. I was told that I would hear something in about a week. I never heard another word, even after calling and emailing with the information that I was given by the hiring manager.

I put in my application on the website, and then two days later, I got an email asking me to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was about a week after that, and it was pretty standard. The HR person talked about my salary expectations and went through my resume. It was an easy phone interview.
