Teacher
It wasn't super deep. A bunch of administrators were in a room and they asked me how I would run my own classroom. You should be ready to talk about how you'd build up rigor and scaffold skills and practice. Make sure you're ready for questions about how to do assessments without needing homework or a lot of tests.
- Can you explain how you would scaffold a lesson plan?
- How would you approach student assessment?
- Describe your approach to managing a classroom.
Field Technician Intern
This was a really straightforward and easy interview process, perfect for students. CTE interviews are awesome for ambitious students wanting a summer internship. The IT department, in particular, offers genuinely useful experiences.
- Can you share your technical and professional goals?
- What are your interests and hobbies?
- Describe your leadership experience and your professional experience.
Intern
The supervisor and hiring director will have a call with the applicant, and they'll ask about why this specific role is the one you want. Which internship is really up to whatever you want because the interns are primarily high school students.
- Why are you interested in this particular role?
High School Science Teacher
I applied online and then got contacted by someone at the district who asked me which jobs I was interested in. They referred me to a school I didn't even know about. I had a phone interview with the principal, and then a video interview with some admin staff and teachers from the department. Right after the video interview, they called me to offer me the job. Everything went really smoothly and fast.
- Describe a situation and ask what you would do.
