Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Charles River Associates.
Associate
I went through 2 interview rounds for this role. I met with 6 team members. All the interviews were behavioral except for one case study round. Each interview was 30 minutes long. The interviewer helped me through the case study when I got stuck.
- Can you tell me about your experience handling large datasets?
Senior Associate
It was an easy online test and written test, then a 1-hour first round interview with a case study. The second round was about job market papers and basic technical questions. After waiting a month, they scheduled a third round interview with two more cases. There were hardly any behavioral questions throughout. The interviewers were nice, but dealing with HR was a mess. No feedback was given after rejection following the third round, which was disappointing given how far I got.
- Tell me about a case study concerning competition economics.
Associate
I went through two rounds of interviews. The first was a group interview with four parts: an individual case, a group case, some behavioral/fit questions, and a market sizing question. The final round had one fit interview with the VP and two cases. The cases weren't actually related to life sciences. The VP came across as arrogant. It was disappointing that no feedback was given after the final round, and communication was poor throughout.
- standard market sizing questions
- standard behavioural questions
- cases may or may not have exhibits
