Behavioral Case

Had a virtual 45-minute interview with two employees for the Life Science Practice. The first half was typical behavioral questions, and then we did a case-style problem that didn't need any prep. They gave us plenty of time to work through the four-part problem.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I applied online for the full-time entry level analyst position in Oakland Antitrust & Competition Practice. They got in touch within two weeks for a 45-minute first round interview with a Senior Associate (PhD) and an Associate. The first 15 mins, the PhD asked me basic questions about my resume and asked me to walk through my projects. Then, for 25 mins, the Associate presented a case through a shared Word doc on screen. It had three figures: a table, then two graphs. They left 5 mins for my questions. It was a good experience overall, but the case was way harder than the internship first round case last year.

Technical Case

I had one interview that lasted for an hour and it involved a case study. The first part of the interview focused on a research experience I had, and they asked very specific questions about the data. There were two interviewers, one senior analyst and one junior analyst. They were both really nice and helped me out with the case, especially since I went over the time limit.

  • Can you describe the data cleaning process you used for Project XYZ?
