The interview journey had four parts: first a chat with the VP of Talent, Nick, then a light technical chat with the software director, followed by a take-home assignment, and finally an on-site technical interview with the team lead. It all wrapped up in about two weeks, went pretty smoothly overall. The team seemed really into the company and the role, super positive vibe. Interviews felt like conversations. The take-home project was actually cool and relevant to what they do. Nick Flowers (VP of Talent) was great, kept me in the loop, really positive experience.

The interview process was pretty standard. The main issue was that the role was advertised as a 'Chief of Staff' but during the interview, it was revealed to be an Executive Assistant position. While these roles have similarities, they are distinct. It's important for them to clarify which position they are actually hiring for, as I would have declined the interview if I had known it was for an EA role. The bait-and-switch tactic was quite disappointing.

Technical Behavioral

This company's interview process felt pretty unstructured. I interviewed with them twice over the past year. The first time, I ended up waiting over an hour to talk to someone, and it wasn't even the person I was supposed to meet. The second time, they were ready to go, but they didn't share much about the actual role. It seemed like they wanted to place me in a different position than what I applied for on both occasions. What I experienced aligns with the company reviews I've seen. If you're a professional with solid experience, I'd probably look elsewhere. They offer very low salaries and aren't open to negotiation. For the role I applied for, they offered 10-12k less than expected. Honestly, just save yourself the time and apply somewhere else.

I found the Executive Assistant to the CEO job on Craigslist. A day or two later, the CEO called me for a 1:1 interview. I spoke with the CEO about my skills, qualifications, and why I wanted the job. Then, I stayed to interview with the COO, who asked about my work history and past jobs. After that, they showed me around the place and introduced me to everyone. I then emailed the COO with questions about the job duties and benefits. Once everything was answered, I got an offer.
