I had an interview with 3 people for the first round, which I thought was a lot for R1. But I was willing to do it if it was a great company. I noticed on LinkedIn that all 3 interviewers were 'Open to Work,' which made me think something was wrong. Two of the interviewers acted like I was wasting their time and I didn't get much time to learn about the company. In the end, they ghosted me. If this is how Chapin Hall interviews, I'm not interested. It says a lot about their company culture.

The interview process for this Director of Finance role took place over about 4 weeks and was quite time-consuming. It started with a first round of three separate one-hour Zoom interviews. Then, a second round followed with three more one-hour Zoom interviews. A lot of the questions asked in both rounds were really similar, even the same ones from different interviewers. It was a bit strange, not sure if it was on purpose to check for honesty or just bad communication. The whole thing felt like too much time and effort was needed.

It started with a screening call with HR, followed by two virtual interviews where each had two interviewers. The vibe was really relaxed and conversational, and they didn't seem to have specific questions prepared. The people interviewing were nice and seemed to really like their jobs and the agency. I didn't get the offer, and even though I asked if they could give me some feedback or a reason why I wasn't chosen during the interview, they didn't provide any.

The interview process was quite long and felt exhaustive, but ultimately led to nothing. I was really disappointed with how long it took them to get back to me and that I didn't get any clear feedback from the person who made the final decision. I think they could have been more objective and used more metrics in their decision-making process.
