First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Chapel Hats.
Lead Engineer
The recruiter was super unprofessional, yelling, yawning, and muting me. One interviewer even used a cat avatar and seemed to be sleeping. The initial recruitment email had a lot of emojis.
- What is the best type of bear and why?
- Can you explain your reasoning for choosing the best bear?
Assistant Manager
Got a phone call to schedule the interview, then I went in person. They gave me directions for parking at the Venetian Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Parking was a bit tricky and it was a long walk to the store.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join Chapel Hats?
Key Holder
Got contacted a day or two after I applied. Someone from the home office called to set up an interview with someone from the home office. The interview itself was amazing. We talked, laughed, shared stories and had a genuine conversation. She seemed really interested in what I had to say, which I appreciated. There were some standard interview questions, but they weren't too hard, and she wasn't intimidating at all. We even ended the interview with a hug, and I went home with a job offer and a huge smile.
- What would you do if an employee was often late?
- How would you deal with a very angry customer?
- Can you tell me about a time you gave great customer service?
Assistant Manager
The interview wasn't in the office or store. The manager started walking outside, and I followed him. I asked if we were going somewhere, and he said yes.
- The manager asked an unprofessional question: Where are you originally from?
