First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Channel Factory.
Account Manager
It was a three-round process, and I got through the first two. First was a recruiter screen, about 50 mins. Then a 30-min interview with the SVP of Account Management. I didn't make it to the final round, but I was really happy to have gotten that far and met the team. I have to give a shout-out to Daniela, the Lead Recruiter. She was super thorough and always got back to me quickly, which is huge, especially in this crazy job market. She was nice, kept me in the loop, and really seemed to care. Daniela was a great representative for Channel Factory and made the whole thing a good experience.

Recruiter
I made it to the last interviews at Channel Factory, which involved three interview stages and a big project that took a lot of time and work to prep for. The communication was good overall, and they had high expectations, which was fine. But after putting in a lot of time and effort, I just got an automated rejection email with no personal feedback. I reached out to the recruiter twice to ask for feedback because of how much work the project and final rounds took, but never heard back. I get that companies can't always give detailed feedback, but not responding after such a thorough interview process was a letdown. For candidates doing time-consuming projects, better communication and a proper close would really improve the experience.
- Could you describe Channel Factory to someone considering a job here?
Product Manager
My interview experience at Channel Factory was really positive. It kicked off with a chat with the hiring manager, who's the Associate Director of Product. They kept things focused and organized, and the hiring manager was super helpful, walking me through everything. After that, I had a meeting with two execs, then a case study to do at home, and finally, an interview with the CPO. Everyone I met was polite and professional. The whole thing took about three weeks, and it felt worth it.
- Can you share your experience that relates to this role?
Digital Media Planner
The interview process was really well put together. I was interviewing for a digital media planner role and was randomly asked how I'd sell a green apple over a red one. As someone who is color blind, this question confused me on its relevance to my skills. The interviewers were nice and knew their stuff, but they definitely like to throw curveballs. I think they might have been assessing my adaptability or maybe just having some fun. It's just that interview questions should really be about checking if a candidate has the right skills for the job. I'd suggest Channel Factory try a more straightforward approach next time so candidates can actually show what they can do without feeling like they're in a weird sales pitch. If you're looking for interviews that stick to the job description, be aware!
