& Process

The interview process consisted of a few stages. First, there was a casual chat with a senior scientific colleague. Then, a more formal interview with at least two senior scientific colleagues. Finally, there might have been a last interview, but it was not guaranteed.

It started with a casual chat with HR about the company and salary expectations. After that, a writing test was provided, which involved a data check, a lay summary, and a slide deck summary of a paper. Finally, there was a relaxed 'meet the team' interview, typically with two team leads. Overall, a very chill and relaxed process!

Started with a friendly recruiter call that put me at ease. Then, I had to complete two writing tasks, which took longer than expected but weren't too hard. After that, I had a video chat with two scientific directors. It felt more like a conversation, and they shared a lot about the company and their work while asking me questions. The talent acquisition team called a couple of days later with a job offer. The whole thing took just under a month, which is pretty good for 3 stages, and it was managed really well with kind people. They promised it would be quick, and it was!

Interviewed at the same time as another candidate. We both did an activity where we had to plan activities for an event, and then were interviewed separately. We were also given the opportunity to discuss the role with two senior members of the team. The interviewers were all lovely and very supportive. We were both given offers at the end of the day. Sadly declined as I had another offer at a company in a better location, but otherwise would have accepted.
