Interviewed for AE role: 1st step: Interview with Recruiter - see if you're a fit - Nick is great! 2nd step: Interview with Hiring Manager (He was great) - walk through your background, tell me about yourself, ask questions, etc. pretty chill interview. 3rd/4th step: Interview with Peers - AE + Presale Engineer: Culture Fit interview they are separate interviews but everyones new so hard to get much intel outside of their own experience. 5th: Interview Panel Presentation: Hiring Mgr, Peer, Director of Presale Eng. They have a prompt for you to prepare for - it's a wide range of how you ramp, territory plan, prospect, giving an example of prospecting into an account, and a deal review in a short 45 minutes. 6th: Interview with the Director of Sales. Similar to the Hiring Manager call and walking through your background/peppering you with questions. Cross your t's and dot your i's when interviewing here - every move is being watched lol

The interview process started with a 45-minute recruiter phone call, followed by a 30-minute Sales Manager Zoom Call, and then a 30-minute Sales Director Zoom Call. Unfortunately, I had to pull out of the process due to misalignment. The recruiter conversation went well, and the first line of leadership seemed strong. However, the second line of leadership didn't answer the typical question about any potential concerns they might have with my candidacy, which led to unclear next steps and ambiguity. It was a confusing experience towards the end. My advice is that if you're hiring, be clear with candidates about where they stand in the process, especially since high-performing sales reps often interview with multiple companies. Not being clear could lead to losing out on top talent to your competition.

It was a 30 Min. call with a recruiter, then a 30 Min. video call with the hiring manager. This one was mainly talking about MEDDPICC process and experience. After that, I had to talk with a future AE co-worker to see if I was a cultural fit. Then, I talked with a future SE co-worker to see how I had experience with other SEs and if we would vibe together. I didn't make it past the second interview, so I'm not too sure about the later stages. I got to the first interview because I had a mutual connection, so finding an AE on Linkedin and asking for a referral is a good way to get your foot in the door. I totally botched the second interview and didn't explain how I accomplished things in my previous role well enough. I really hope these questions help others prepare for this company's interviews. I take full responsibility for not getting past the second interview. I had to follow-up with the recruiter to make sure the second interview got scheduled. They responded quickly, so don't hesitate to reach out. The recruiter said there were about 12k applicants for the whole company and 500-600 for the SMB AE role. Make sure to practice your STAR method. There was one recruiter question, but they had about two others, I think they were about why I wanted to work there. Below are the questions, one from the recruiter and the rest from the hiring manager interview. I didn't get past the second interview, so I'd really recommend getting connected with someone internally and finding out exactly who they're looking for.
