Account Executive
First, I had a quick call with a recruiter to go over the job, who I'd be working with, and pay. They also asked me about my past work and why I wanted this job. Then, I chatted with the hiring manager about my experience, how I solve problems, and some tricky situations like dealing with disagreements, rush jobs, or too many tasks. It felt like a real talk, not an interrogation. After that, I met with a few people from the team on their own. Each one looked at different things, like my skills, how I work with others, and if I'd fit in. I got to ask them questions too, which was great. Lastly, I did a written task. It was straightforward, and I had enough time. They asked good questions about it afterward and seemed really curious about how I thought.
- Good morning, could you please state your name?
Account Executive
The recruiter and interviewer were professional and clear about what they were looking for and what the job entails. They were open about the challenges of the role and the expectations for the person filling it.
- What's your strategy for engaging clients within your designated sector?
Account Executive
The interview process was quite involved. Initially, I wasn't selected because someone else had more experience. However, I kept in touch with the hiring manager, who was really great and sincere, and he ended up hiring me a month or two later once he got the necessary headcount approved. There were about 5 or 6 stages to the interview. It included the usual steps like talking to the hiring manager and a chat with the VP of sales. I was originally supposed to demo their product and do a discovery call, but they switched it up and asked me to demo my product to them instead, which made more sense. Then, I had another call with the hiring manager, followed by a call to assess my language abilities, specifically German in my case. Finally, I received the job offer.
