First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cha for Tea.
Barista
It was pretty straightforward. They asked about my availability, how I collaborate with a team, and what skills I possess. The toughest part was answering why I'm the best choice compared to other applicants.
- What makes you the better candidate?
- Why should we hire you over other candidates?
Cashier
It was a walk-in interview, and they had them for about two weeks. I had to fill out their application and turn it in before the interview. The manager was super nice and friendly. She said she would let me know if I got a second interview, but I never heard back from her.
- What makes you the best candidate for this job compared to others?
Shaker
Had a group interview for the restaurant environment, kind of like retail group interviews. They tested us on shaker recipes after giving us a few days to look them over. This job was really formative for me in growing my personal skills. The interviewers were pretty young, younger than me at the time, and I still felt kind of nervous about it all. Found out months later I got the job mostly because of my vibe.
- Describe a time you faced a challenge from a coworker and how you handled it.
