Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CGN Global.
Intern
The whole process took 2.5 months, with long and slow communication, sometimes weeks between updates. However, the interview rounds were interesting and varied: first, an HR interview covering general and behavioral questions and resume discussion; second, a one-on-one technical interview delving into previous work experience, challenges, and projects; finally, a panel case discussion where I had to work on a case study and present it to two consultants.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Could you describe a challenge you've encountered in your work?
- What are some of your key achievements?
Intern
So for the interview process, there was a quick phone screening that was behavioral for the first round. The second round was a presentation where I was given a business problem a couple of days before, like whether a cable company should enter the market, and I had to come up with a solution and present it with slides over a web conference.
- Tell me about a challenge you've encountered.
Intern
There were 3 rounds in total. The first one was with HR, focusing on behavioral questions. The second round was the technology part. For the final round, I had to do a case presentation in front of a group panel.
- What motivates your interest in the consulting industry?
