First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CFS.
Business Development Manager
I had a phone screen with the Office Manager. Then, a week later, I went in for an in-person interview with the Office Manager and the Regional VP. After that, I had another phone screen with a male VP, possibly for his opinion. He asked me a lot of the same questions from the first phone screen, making it feel repetitive. CFS's hiring process seemed very standardized with little personal touch. They use old-school tactics and haven't adopted digital media for branding or outreach. Googling CFS brings up results for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, not Creative Financial Staffing, and their services aren't easily found online. One VP even dismissed the importance of websites, showing a lack of modern business development knowledge.

Business Development Manager
I had a recruiter call to schedule an interview for the next day. We had a great chat about my background and what the job entails. She mentioned the area manager would call to set up another interview. I then interviewed with the area manager, and she offered to introduce me to the team. I met with the team members one-on-one to get acquainted, then spoke with the area manager again. She asked if I wanted the job. I said yes, and she said she'd decide within 24 hours. She called later that day with an offer. The whole process was professional and I was treated really well. Once I accepted, I got calls and emails welcoming me aboard.
- Can you discuss your experience?
- What do you think the expectations for this role are?
- Following up on our discussion, are you still interested in this position?
Business Development Manager
Had 2 phone interviews. First one was a basic screening with a recruiter. The second one was with the Regional Manager, who would have been my boss. Then there was a third phone interview with someone else from the Regional Manager's office, and this one felt different, less conversational than the other two.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- Let's do a mock sales call.
