The interview process felt very informal, and the interviewers were lovely and seemed interested in getting to know my personality. They asked a range of typical interview questions. I had two interviews back-to-back, and they were quite similar in style and the questions asked.

The management team was pleasant and the interviews followed a typical format. However, the Talent Acquisition Specialist was notably unresponsive, taking weeks to reply. I've heard from others in the industry that this is a common issue. Some candidates even received interview requests only to be met with silence after responding. The recruiter handling underwriting roles was particularly unprofessional, to the point where I wouldn't trust her judgment.

I interviewed for two roles at CFC, and it went pretty well. The hiring managers asked usual questions. They both said I would hear back, but the recruiters at CFC never responded, not even with a courtesy email saying I wasn't a fit. It was just silence for months, even after I followed up. This looks really bad. Friends who work there told me this is their usual reputation. It's a shame because they keep reposting the same jobs, but they don't get back to applicants, which shows they aren't really interested in finding talent.

The interview process included an initial 30-minute screening call with a recruiter, followed by a take-home technical test. Then there was a 60-minute online interview with team members, and finally a 60-minute on-site interview with engineering management. I completed all stages and thought the face-to-face interview went well, with the interviewer even starting to sell the job towards the end. However, two days later, I got an email saying they weren't moving forward because I seemed 'nervous,' which I found to be an unacceptable reason and feedback, especially after the commitment I'd made and passing all other stages. I'd question if it's worth the effort to apply again.
