So I started with a recruiter call, which was nice, and then I was invited to an assessment centre a few days later. There were about 30 of us. We began with a quick intro and an 'interesting fact' about ourselves, plus a 30-second elevator pitch. Then we split into two groups for an exercise. After that, the successful candidates had initial interviews with some companies that were there. A few days later, I got an offer from a company that wasn't present at the assessment centre and I've been working there since.

The interview process involved a group interview with over 30 people and a panel. First, you had to stand up and talk about yourself and an accomplishment, then tell a funny story – you could make one up if needed, as confidence is key. Next, there was a group task where everyone had to work together to sell a suit to a CEO. The goal was to keep the task organised and make sure everyone participated, while also getting involved yourself. Finally, you had to deliver a 1 minute 30 second elevator pitch to sell yourself. It's quite stressful if you're not prepared, so be sure to mention being money-motivated, hard-working, persuasive, a leader, a team player, and confident.

Dishonest group interview. Don't bother applying unless you have prior sales experience and a naturally bubbly personality. My best advice if you're giving Certus a shot and attend the assessment day is to just be confident and energetic. Make sure your elevator pitch is definitely 30 seconds and focuses on you being hard-working with examples of your achievements, telling them what you can bring to Certus. Tell them you are hungry for the job. Be articulate and dress professionally, not 'saucy'. In group tasks, listen and speak a lot, more than most people if you can, otherwise, you'll get drowned out. If you fail this, try getting into call center jobs through agency work as that will give you experience. Maybe do door-to-door sales, get retail sales, or a car dealership internship/experience for 6 months. You can really talk about your achievements if you do these sorts of jobs. Switching from being a nanny or a struggling actress with a degree won't get you into recruitment easily; it might take about 50 failed interviews and by then you'll run out of companies. If you interview for 10 companies and get nowhere, stop and do call center work for 6 months or a year, then re-apply for recruitment roles with different organizations than the first set of 10.

As a recent graduate, I was contacted by Certus for an interview. The process was efficient, and I was able to interview at their Baker Street office within 48 hours. I met with three Certus employees, including a specialist in technology sales, which is my preferred area. The day included two role-play interviews. By the following week, I had interviewed with two other promising companies. However, my experience with Certus declined significantly afterwards. I tried reaching out via email and phone for two weeks with no response. There was no feedback or support provided to help me find a suitable role for my career. This lack of communication was quite discouraging and impacted my confidence.
