First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Certinia.
Customer Success Manager
I was contacted by a UK-based recruiter from Certinia, a PE-owned company. We had a 30-minute initial chat. She sounded positive about the next steps and moving on to meet the hiring manager. I asked how she felt about our conversation and she seemed very optimistic. However, I didn't get to meet any hiring managers and the role was eventually filled by someone from a competitor. I found this out after I followed up. It's interesting because many people on the Certinia team used to work at my previous company, including the CEO, and they've all done quite well. I really wish I had the chance to talk more.
- Can you describe how you handled a challenging customer situation to find a solution?
Customer Success Manager
I was hired after four interviews - 3 phone calls and 1 in-person. The company recruiter was really responsive, approachable, and helpful. I also interviewed with my future boss and his boss. They were both sincere, open, and showed great knowledge and experience in Customer Success. I was told the company culture is fun, values employees highly, and is authentic, which I found to be true. During the interviews, I learned that FinancialForce is a growing and busy company, and everyone is a bit overextended. I was asked if this was an environment I could work in and how I would handle getting what I need to do my job given everyone's workload.
- How would you approach integrating yourself into a user base that might not see the value in or want support?
- Can you describe specific instances where you successfully engaged a user community that didn't initially prioritize interacting with you?
Customer Success Manager
I got an email about interviewing for a Customer Success Manager role at FinancialForce.com. Then, the HR recruiter explained the whole process, what they expected, and gave feedback after each interview. The recruiter was always in touch via email or phone. FinancialForce.com was great at getting me excited about the company. After talking to the recruiter and interviewers, I knew I wanted to work there because they described exactly what I was looking for in a company, and I really liked their culture and vision. It's a powerful, dynamic organization and interviewing with them is a great experience.
- Can you tell me why you chose the courses you selected in university?
