ASIC Design Engineer
It took about a month. There were 2 technical rounds, and the 3rd was just a formality. Each technical round was 1 hr and mostly focused on past projects, with some basic concepts thrown in. The last round was a solo test on the system, no interviewers.
- Can you discuss FSM design and compare different state encoding methods?
- What is CDC, and what are the different types of synchronizers?
- What is the synthesis outcome when using blocking assignments within an always@(posedge clk) block?
FPGA Design Engineer
It was a 3-round technical interview process. The first round had basic questions. The second round went a little deeper into basics and Verilog coding. The third round focused on project-related questions, static timing analysis, digital electronics, and FSMs.
- Can you tell me about your Verilog experience?
- Let's discuss some of your past projects.
- Do you have questions about Verilog?
Physical Design Engineer
So I had 3 rounds in my interview process. The first two rounds were aptitude and technical. The third round was an interview. The aptitude round was super hard and then the technical round also required us to submit written answers.
- Questions about Solver STA.
- Questions regarding mux.
