First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cerium Systems.
Associate Engineer
The interview process is pretty straightforward. You'll need to have a grasp of basic electronics and how electronic components work, along with digital electronics concepts like multiplexers, encoders, decoders, combinational circuits, and sequential circuits.
- Tell me about electronics and its nature.
- Can you explain the workings of electronic components?
- What are your thoughts on digital electronics, including multiplexers, encoders, decoders, combinational circuits, and sequential circuits?
Associate Engineer
I applied online and through offcampus. The whole process was online using Google meet, and the HR round was telephonic. It consisted of 3 rounds: first, an aptitude + technical written test; second, a technical interview; and third, an HR interview.
- What is CMOS technology?
- Could you explain what a JK flip flop is and how to prevent the race around condition?
- Calculate the 2's complement of 64 and demonstrate the solution.
Associate Engineer
There were 3 stages in total: a written test, a technical interview, and an HR interview. The written test focused heavily on Digital Electronics, with moderate aptitude and quantitative sections. The Digital Electronics questions were on the harder side, especially for freshers. For the written part, they set up a meeting where we had to keep our cameras on while writing the exam, and then submit our solved papers at the end.
- What are the basics of Digital Electronics?
- Can you explain flip flops?
- How do you convert gates to multiplexers?
