Behavioral Technical Coding

The interview process started with a typical recruiter call, followed by a behavioral interview, then a technical interview, and another technical interview. It wasn't too difficult and seemed to go well, but I was disappointed because I never got feedback on why I wasn't selected. The interviewers were nice, but I didn't always feel engaged.

Behavioral Technical Coding System Design Presentation

I applied online via LinkedIn. First, a recruiter chatted with me about the role and my background. Then, I had a more in-depth technical discussion with a senior engineer about my past projects and how I approach software engineering. The final stage had four interviews back-to-back (virtually): a backend challenge, a frontend challenge, an interview with the product growth manager, and finally, a system design interview with the VP of engineering. There were some issues with the interviewers during the final round that I felt impacted my performance, but overall, it was a really fast and decent interview process.

  • Can you design a scalable messaging application?
