It was an online interview at 2:30. The interviewer was alone and kept looking away. I disclosed a past felony, explaining it was related to my son's situation and not fraud, and asked if I'd still be considered. She indicated it might depend on the charges, which made me feel she wasn't very knowledgeable about her job.

About four days after applying online, I had a quick chat with HR to set up an in-person interview. This was with the HR rep, the hiring manager, and a team lead. I got an email soon after to confirm the time. On interview day, I got to the office a bit early and waited before being led to HR's waiting room. I had to fill out a form and was given a copy of the job description. Once everyone was ready, we started the interview. Most of the questions were about my past experience and how it applied to the role, plus how I handle disagreements, prioritize tasks, and interact with users. About a week later, they checked my references, and a few days after that, I got a call and email with an offer. I listened to the terms and talked it over with HR, but ultimately decided against it because it wasn't the right fit for what I'm looking for. The HR person was nice, though, and said to keep them in mind for future openings.

Behavioral Presentation

I went through my first interview, and then they immediately called me back for a third interview. During that first interview, they had a marketing manager come in. After I finished the third interview, they told me I'd hear back soon. I waited a week and called them, and they said it would take another two weeks to make a decision. More than two weeks went by, and I called again, but no one answered. Then I got an automated email saying they'd filled the position. The person I spoke to before said I could call as many times as I wanted to check on my status, but every time I called, it went to voicemail. I thought it was really rude to make me wait so long and drag out the process for almost a month, only for me to have to contact them to find out the position was filled. That seemed really unprofessional to me.

So I had two interviews for this role, and each one was under an hour. First, I talked to an HR person, and then the branch manager interviewed me. The whole thing took about a week and a half, but that was partly because I was super busy with my full-time job and couldn't do interviews whenever. They were really good about working around my schedule though.
