First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Centrifuge Media.
Production Manager
A recruiter found me and was the main point of contact with Centrifuge Media. I had a phone chat with the recruiter, and she quickly set up an in-person interview with the Creative Director. Before the interview, I met two employees who were friendly and asked if I needed anything. The interview itself was a bit over an hour, and I felt it went pretty well. I got a good sense of the company and what the job really involves. They didn't ask generic questions like "greatest strength/weakness," but asked things directly related to the role. The Creative Director was approachable and clear about his expectations. The next step was supposed to be another in-person with the Controller, but they ended up choosing someone internal. It was generally a positive experience.

Event Coordinator
Whew! Long process! After speaking to a recruiter, I went to four in person interviews for my job as an Event Coordinator. I spoke to many people and I feel like I got a really comprehensive view of what everyone is like and what the company does.
- What are my five-year career goals?
Account Coordinator
I had 2 phone interviews and 1 in-person interview. Since I interviewed remotely, the process might have been shorter in terms of interview number but spanned about 2 weeks. The first phone chat was with the Controller, the second with the department director, and the final one with the company President. Typical interview questions came up, nothing too strange. They prefer honest, direct answers over generic ones. They were upfront about the limited travel expected for this role compared to more senior ones. It's a good idea to ask a lot of questions to ensure a transparent process and to fully understand the expectations, compensation, benefits, and the pros/cons of travel.
- What about working in events, particularly in AV/media production, sparks your interest?
Account Manager
I was contacted for an informational chat. We had a video call, and the person was really nice. They explained a lot about how the company works and what they expect from the role.
- Tell me about your experience with live events.
