First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Centricity Research.
HR Specialist
The people I interacted with were nice and the interview was quick. Unfortunately, the position was put on hold, so I never heard back from them. I had to send them emails multiple times to get an update. I would consider interviewing with them again.
- Tell me about your experience in Human Resources.
Research Intern
It was a two-step interview process. First, I talked with HR, and then with the Hiring Manager. They asked the usual questions about my goals, why I wanted this role, my expectations, challenges I faced in previous jobs, and my availability.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
Clinical Research Assistant
Pretty standard interview process, and it moved fast. Took about two weeks from when I applied to when they offered me the job. First, there was a phone screen with HR. They wanted to understand my background and research experience and then told me about the job and the career path, like how a research assistant can become a clinical research coordinator I, and then eventually a clinical research coordinator II. After that, I either met in person or virtually with some site managers, depending on how far away I was and what worked best. They took turns asking me standard interview questions. Apparently, staff turnover is a big issue there, so they're hiring pretty much anyone with research experience and a good personality. They asked for references, but it didn't seem like they checked them thoroughly.
- What makes you stand out from other candidates and why should we hire you?
Clinical Research Coordinator
It was a two-stage interview process. The first stage was with HR for general questions. The second stage was with a senior CRC where I had to present an informed consent form, which was about 30 pages long. I was expected to present it for about an hour in front of the senior CRC. They wanted the presentation to follow their SOP or style, which is unclear without prior experience at their site, considering different geographic sites have their own SOPs and presentation styles according to local regulations. It felt like a waste of time. Although the job description mentioned the work location, the interviewer asked about travel to different sites, indicating a lack of coordination between HR and the hiring team. When I asked questions, the interviewer mentioned that hiring was at another site and seemed uninformed. The salary offered was only 45,000 CAD. They mentioned there are three stages of interview. It's better to avoid this interview and save your time.
- Present the informed consent form.
