First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Central States Manufacturing, Inc..
Project Manager
The interview process with the company was pretty thorough. They wanted to understand my experience, my skills, and how much I know about safety protocols. The panel I met with was professional and asked some really good questions to see if I'd be a good fit for the job.
- Tell me about a tough situation you faced on a construction site and how you dealt with it.
- Can you give an example of a difficult situation you experienced on a construction site and describe how you handled it?
- Could you share an example of a challenging situation you faced on a construction site and explain how you managed it?
Store Manager
The interview process was pretty standard. I had two interviews, one with the GM of sales and another with both the GM and the VP of Sales. The GM seemed like a typical used car salesman and didn't really grasp marketing strategies. He was also a very intense, type A person who had trouble staying focused on what was important.
- Can you tell me about your past annual sales figures?
- What makes you interested in this job opportunity?
- What prompted your departure from your previous role?
Analyst
HR reached out to me for an interview. After scheduling the interview, I was told I would hear back from HR within the next week. I never heard back, so I called HR and left a message. I never received a call back. I then called the company, who transferred me to the hiring manager. I left a message and got no call back. But that same day, I did get a generic email from HR stating that I was not selected. I'm guessing I was ghosted because I did not mention God in the interview.
- Can you tell me about the worst job you've ever had?
Production Worker
I thought I'd be talking to two supervisors, but one bailed. The interview itself was quick and straightforward, mostly asking about basic job duties. They mentioned I'd be lifting up to 65 pounds, but that didn't end up happening. They took about a week to get back to me after all the testing, and then another week to give me a solid job offer.
- Have you worked in a production environment before?
