First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Central Piedmont Community College.
Project Coordinator
I had a phone interview with the hiring manager and nailed all the questions. They mentioned a second interview with another manager would happen after the new year, but I never heard back from anyone. I didn't even get a rejection email. Checking my application status online, I saw the position was filled. Communication was really bad.
- How do you deal with challenges that arise from other teams?
Academic Advisor
I had a positive interview experience with Central Piedmont Community College. It was one round and included behavioral and situational questions. The interview felt comfortable and inviting.
- Tell me what you know about CPCC.
Conference Services Director
I had one interview with the entire team, which was kind of intimidating with 6+ people but I liked that it cut down on the number of interviews. The process is pretty strict according to college standards with the questions they ask. Everyone has to write down their answers to be given to HR. You also have to give your transcripts.
- For the position, what are your qualifications?
- Regarding conference services, what is your experience?
- How would you deal with a challenging client?
Communications
I sent in my application and they called me back pretty fast because they need to hire someone for the role right away. Four people interviewed me. They each asked one question at a time from a list of questions on a double-sided sheet. They all wrote notes while I answered. They made me feel really comfortable. I'm waiting to hear back, it's only been a week since the interview.
- What would be your plan for your first day on the job?
