& Process

First, there's a quick 15-minute HR phone chat. Then, you'll have a 30-minute Zoom call with the hiring manager. If you happen to be in Phoenix, they'll ask you to come in for an onsite interview. During the onsite, they'll show you around the facility, the office, and the labs.

I had 2 interviews with 3 people in total. First, I spoke with the HR person who first contacted me about the job. Then, I had a group interview with the Quality Manager and the Microbiology Quality Supervisor. The first interview was meant to give me a general idea of the job's duties and seemed to be checking my personality. The second interview involved a detailed walk-through of the job and the area, with more questions about my past work and education. There were a few technical questions, but they weren't too difficult if you have lab experience, like with pipettes, dilutions, or preparing slides.

It was a professional, moderately difficult interview. They asked mostly about my experience and expectations. I was asked about my experience with compounding, my knowledge of clean rooms and clean room processes, and my expertise in USP 797 and calculating admixtures.

The managers will walk you through each station where the current employees are demonstrating. They will explain what it's about and how they expect it to be done. They'll mention that there are SOPs and that each one has a test that goes along with it, noting it's not as easy as it sounds. Then, you thank them for the opportunity. This process is a presentation of the job and its requirements.
