I applied online and then a recruiter from HR reached out the next day. We had an initial phone screening where she asked standard questions about my work experience. She also outlined what to expect in the next interview, which would be with the department director. About a week later, I interviewed with the director over the phone. It was an okay interview, but the director interrupted me a lot while I was answering. I didn't get any follow-up after that, which I found really unprofessional. It would have been nice to get at least a rejection email. Remember, candidates are interviewing the company too.

Inside Sales
I heard from a recruiter at Centrak about an Inside Sales job. After a good initial phone call, I went to their office to meet the team. They said it went well and then I had phone interviews with sales/biz dev managers, which also went well. I was supposed to have phone interviews with the CFO twice, but he stood me up both times without any notice. The recruiter then told me they were hiring someone else. I was surprised since I'd gone through multiple rounds and thought it was going well. When I tried to ask the recruiter and a team member why they didn't move forward with me, they ignored me. It was really frustrating to go through 4 interview rounds, get stood up by the CFO twice, and then not get any answers. I'm very disappointed in how Centrak handled my application. If the feedback was always so positive, why did they go in another direction? I never got an answer.

Hardware Development Engineer
The recruiters are really nice and helpful. You'll be interviewed by the CTO, and you might also meet with others like the CFO and VP of SW. The CTO is the key person. The CTO might make you feel like you're not doing well because they don't give much response to your answers, but it's just because they want direct answers and to get a sense of your personality. If you don't know something, just say so and DON'T make things up, they're smart and will know. If you're a good engineer and problem solver, you shouldn't be too stressed. The main thing is the personality test, which is super important. But if you make a really good impression, they might be more lenient with the test results, especially for the engineering department.
- Can you share some of your past experiences?
- Describe a time you faced and solved a challenging problem.
- What is your approach when you encounter something you don't know?
Operations
The interview process started off with a phone screen with a recruiter. I then had a short 30 minute phone interview with the manager of the department, which then progressed to an onsite interview. The onsite interview lasted about an hour and a half. I spoke with several different people from the department. After the onsite interview, a week or so went by and then I was called to come in for a final onsite interview to meet the CFO. At this point they asked me to take a personality test, which took about an hour to an hour and a half. After all was complete, I received a phone call about another week after my final interview that I got the job. Overall I thought it was a well thought out interview process.
