Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CenterPoint Energy.
Intern
The interview process was pretty easy, honestly. It was just like a regular interview, but it was done online. They asked simple, straightforward questions focusing on what you're good at and where you could improve. They also asked about how I found out about the role.
- What makes you the ideal candidate for us?
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What are your areas for development?
Intern
I had a short interview process. It was on campus with two department heads. The interview was 30 minutes and they asked basic behavioral questions. I spoke with a recruiter beforehand who told me what to expect and who I'd be interviewing with.
- What makes you want to work for CenterPoint?
- Could you define depreciation?
- Can you share an experience where you handled a significant amount of data?
Intern
I interviewed at a University Career Fair. It was one of the most formal interviews I've had, with three interviewers. I heard back about two weeks later via email.
- Given a scenario, how would you approach it?
- Describe a situation where you had to overcome an obstacle.
