Legal Counsel
The hiring process included an initial chat with a recruiter, followed by a meeting with the General Counsel, and then conversations with stakeholders. This seems like a typical legal hiring process, not really different from what I've seen at other funds or financial institutions.
- Can you share your experience?
Associate
The interview process involved a technical interview, with over 5 rounds, and a case study. They tested my accounting and commercial knowledge, along with specific FIG case studies since the firm focuses heavily on the FIG space.
- Can you perform LBO mental math, both forwards and backwards?
Intern
So, the whole interview was done in one zoom call that lasted an hour, with two rounds back to back. First, I spoke with an Associate who mostly just went over my resume. They asked a lot about my past jobs, what I did, and my experiences there. Then, the second part was an interview with a Managing Director.
- Can you present a stock to us?
- Tell me about your background.
- Describe your responsibilities.
Senior Software Engineer
The interview process is good overall but pretty difficult. First, you get a pretty big home assignment. If you pass that, they invite you to the office for more interviews. In the office, they give you about 10 coding questions and you interview with at least 5 people. If you're interviewing for a more senior full stack role, the company expects you to be an expert in Front End, Middle Tier, and Back End, and know every detail.
- Can you explain multi-threading?
- What are different data types?
- How do you write SQL queries?
