The interview process is easy and laid back. The guy who hired me isn’t there anymore though. Not sure if the interview process has changed. They asked about how I approach calls, and if had any very bad calls and how I handled it

Behavioral Other

I had an online screener scheduled for Monday morning, but the interviewer didn't show up and their phone went to voicemail. They didn't reply to my email either. A few days later, the interviewer contacted me to do a screener without a scheduled time, claiming they had canceled the original interview. During this ad hoc screener, I asked about compensation, and it turned out to be about half of the typical market rate for the Kansas City Metro area, so I withdrew my application.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The interviewer described the role and asked if I believed I was capable of performing the duties.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

So basically, I got ghosted after what seemed like a really organized and professional process. It was 4 rounds over Zoom: first a 1:1 with an external headhunter, then a 2:1 with the hiring manager and HR, followed by a 3:1 with potential peers, and finally a 1:1 with the CEO. Everyone I talked to really got what Product Management is, what this specific role was about, and what the company needed. They asked good, relevant questions and we had some great discussions. Everyone seemed pretty positive about the company, its goals, and the Product Management department. The interviews were scheduled promptly and professionally. After all that time and effort, I was pretty surprised to be ghosted after the fourth round, and they didn't even respond when I asked for an update.

Technical Coding Presentation

There were a few standard rounds: first, a chat with the manager, which was a good conversation. Then, a technical round with the manager and a lead, where you had to show your coding thought process, mostly C# and JavaScript. After that, a call with the VP, and finally an assessment test.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Some CS theory was asked in the technical round.
  • Some simple C# implementation was asked.
  • Some JavaScript implementation was asked.
