First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Center for Organ Recovery & Education.
Clinical Specialist
It was a multi-stage interview process. They asked character-based questions that touched on the core principles from their website. They wanted examples of past work experience that related to each principle. Your resume should speak for your experience and education, but you need to promote yourself regarding work history and decision-making through your interview answers. The first step was a phone interview with HR. The second was an in-person interview with HR and a Sr. Admin. The third interview was with a peer. It was a long process with several weeks between interviews. It was professional, but the waiting and not knowing if you advanced was stressful.
- Can you share an instance from your previous work where you demonstrated integrity?
Director, Human Resources
It was a terrible interview process with an unhelpful team. The questions they asked were interesting, but they didn't really show what a candidate could do. The interviewer couldn't even pick the obvious winner in a simple scenario. I found out later why the previous HR person didn't work out.
- We had you submit answers to some questions, and then asked similar ones again during a Zoom meeting.
Intake Coordinator
Went through quite a few interviews, and the whole thing took about three months. I originally applied for one job, but they ended up interviewing me for an entry-level role instead. By the end of it, I felt pretty connected to the company.
- Questions mainly focused on how I deal with conflict.
- Can you give an example of a conflict you resolved?
- What are your go-to methods for resolving conflicts?
Recovery Coordinator
The interview process involved a phone interview, an in-person interview, a job shadow, and a peer interview. It felt like it took a really long time, which was a bit strange. At first, I was just glad to have gotten an interview, but by the end, I kind of wished I hadn't gone through with it.
