First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Center for Autism and Related Disorders.
Behavior Technician
The interview process involved some questions, and the interviewer seemed to question my ability to get to the job location. They repeatedly asked if I had questions, and when I finally asked one, they turned it back on me, asking what I thought the answer was. It really wasn't a very welcoming interview.
- How would you engage children in play?
BCBA Clinical Supervisor
First, there was an interview with HR. Then, a second interview took place with the clinical manager and division director. They let me know their decision within a week. Both interviews were pretty conversational and helpful.
- Can you describe your experience working in ABA?
Registered Behavior Technician
The interview was pretty formal. They asked a lot of questions about whether I'm committed and if I've worked with kids before. They want to see that you're responsible and dedicated, but it wasn't overly strict. All in all, it was a decent experience.
- Have you worked with children before?
Prefer Not to State
The interviews went by fast. It started with a spontaneous phone call, then moved to a virtual interview. The managers who interviewed me were very rude and conducted interviews often. They asked a lot about my pay expectations and if I was overqualified. They also never followed up with a rejection, which is unprofessional.
- Given your experience, why are you interested in this position?
