I submitted an application for a role that was unfortunately named "Ethnic Media Internship" for non-English Media. I had a quick, standard phone interview to gauge my commitment and interest. The interviewer mentioned he'd send a task and expected it back within two days of that same week. It was inconvenient because it happened during the holidays, but that's how it goes. I saw the assignment involved translating several articles in a pretty short time. I told them I wouldn't be comfortable with them using my work if they decided to hire someone else. I didn't get a formal rejection or a reply to my assignment, and never heard back. Super unprofessional, but I kinda expected it.

I did an internship in the fall. I applied in early July and didn't hear back until mid-August. They contacted me for a phone interview scheduled for the following week. I got an offer about one to two weeks later, which was super late in August. So, the whole process was pretty late considering applications were due so early, but it moved fast once they reached out. The questions were standard, asking about why CAP and my personal interests.
