I interviewed for a fixed-term HR Advisor role covering maternity leave. It began with a recruiter screening call, then an in-person interview with the recruiter and HR Manager. It was pretty relaxed, with an open chat about the job and company. They said I'd hear back in a few days after everyone else was interviewed. But I decided to pull out because the location and office vibe weren't really for me. Still, I appreciated how professional they were and thank them for their time.

Technical Case Behavioral

The interview had two stages. First was a technical test where I was given a case study and 20 minutes to work on it, which felt a bit rushed. The second stage was an in-person interview at their Camberley office with the HR Director and an HR advisor. They were really welcoming and explained everything. It was a very conversational interview. Although the interview itself was great, I wasn't happy with how things went afterwards. Just to be clear, the company uses outside recruiters. I followed up with the recruiters for two weeks for feedback, only getting the word 'positive' and then being told they were interviewing internally. I figured I didn't get the job. Then, two and a half weeks after my interview, the Director of the recruitment company called and said they wanted to offer me the role and I should get an offer within 24 hours. After that, I got a text saying she made a mistake and I was one of the top two candidates. In the end, the other candidate got the job (it turned out they had previously taken themselves off the market and then returned).

I had about two or three phone calls, and then I was sent to Dallas for training for something that never came up during the interview. Then, they sent a trainer to Arizona who had a DUI, so I ended up driving him around. The most money I ever made in one week was during the training week.
