User Experience Designer
I had some really great conversations with a total of 6 people, including the initial screening, and it all took place over 4 weeks. I could definitely see myself loving working with everyone. The project was also very much aligned with my career path. The last interview wasn't as smooth though. The interviewer was late to our Zoom call and mentioned she hadn't even read my resume. That gave me the impression they weren't really serious about me. I sent an email to the lead a week ago to thank him and say how much I enjoyed meeting everyone, but I haven't heard back. I'm just going to assume they're not interested, though it would be nice to have some closure on this whole experience.
- Can you describe how you manage working with difficult individuals?
UX Designer
I talked with HR. They told me about the job and asked if I was interested. They also asked about salary expectations. They mentioned they were still in the early stages of hiring.
- Can you describe your current role and responsibilities?
User Experience Designer
I initially met with a recruiter and my mentor at a campus career fair. About a month later, I was contacted for an interview. The interview itself was conducted via Google Hangout with my mentor and the team leader. They informed me that I'd be working with a developer team, not the UX team, and asked me some basic questions about my portfolio and design principles. I received the outcome the very next day.
- Can you introduce some of your projects?
- What are your thoughts on responsive web design?
- How do you approach working with a client?
